In June 2010 Texas Roadhouse wanted to increase web traffic, sales, and increase “Findability” in search for high-value casual neighborhood restaurants on mobile and web. Texas Roadhouse wanted to see these increases at each of their locations on a national basis for a nominal investment.
Prior to engagement Texas Roadhouse restaurants individually and manually submitted their information to local search business listings, but did not actively manage and verify anchor name, phone number, or enhance listings on an ongoing basis (further increases Search Engine Optimization). These individual listing submissions were potentially creating inconsistencies for Texas Roadhouse location search results, including errors and inconsistencies in their information and keywords, ultimately decreasing search engine confidence and lowering their SEO across all restaurant locations.
Information was centrally updated, enhanced, and managed to create accurate and consistent data across all restaurants. Information that was updated, correct, and added were as follows: addresses, hours of operation, website link, keywords, payment methods, new locations, etc. a consistent process was established where all information was centrally controlled and managed. All updates have since been centrally implemented.
